Directed by Rachael Nanyonjo, Amazina is an ‘explosive’ film about dance Revolution and Uganda. It sets out to bring the battle for Ugandan dance evolution to your screen and to an international audience.

About the Film: To understand Ugandan dances you need to understand the culture and politics they are synonymous one cannot exist without the other. AMAZINA means dance in Luganda and this documentary explores the transforming identity of dance in Uganda looking at the form, politics and disavowal of the culture.
